Problem
MAIT Industries were seeking the development of a character set and story-telling style that would explain their smart irrigation systems, aiming to differentiate their brand and communicate complex product benefits simply.
Solution
The campaign line ‘Spend more time with your mates’ was created to in a fun way encapsulate what you could be doing with your time instead of manually monitoring water systems across a farm. An animation series featuring a unique hand-drawn style and a relatable brand character was developed, blending humour and clear messaging to illustrate the advantages and functionalities of MAIT?s products.
One of the challenges with the humour was not getting farmers, yet to buy the product, off-side by appearing to make fun of them. The use of comical dog characters was key to allowing this humour in with more license for creative ways to have fun.
Outcome
The animations achieved substantial recognition and affection within the industry, with the brand character becoming a symbol for MAIT, boosting brand engagement and effectively conveying product value.
